How did Tom Watson and John Daly qualify for the great British Open? Any ideas?

Did the BOTH win qualifiers, or what? (especially Daly)

they are past champions of the OPEN and are invited back until the age of 60

How about Tom Watson leading the British Open. Thankfully, he and Daly qualified because of an exemption clause because they’ve won the British Open in their careers.

  3. Andy S Says:

As past champions they’re both exempt until they’re 60. Watson needs to win to extend his exemption another 10 years. Top 10 and he’d be invited back next year anyways,

  4. kegger Says:

    past champions auto qualified
